Housewife no more: Eva Longoria Parker opens her own restaurant

Well, not that she's going to be standing behind the counter in a pinny, or anything. I imagine.

But Eva Longoria Parker is at least the co-owner of a brand new eaterie in LA - called Beso (Spanish for 'kiss', dontcha know) - and here she was at its opening night in Hollywood on Thursday. Looking as perfect as ever, of course, in an off-white chenille dress and a cute updo.

The restaurant's chef and co-owner, Todd English, told People that Eva was very involved in the restaurant's creation - "from the etched Spanish poetry at the restaurant's entrance (including one poem from Eva's sister Emily), to picking out the three chandeliers which decorate the ceilings, to adding two specialties of the house - the guacamole and the tortilla soup," says the magazine.

According to the never knowingly under-modest Eva: "I make the best guacamole in the world. And my tortilla soup, for which I am renowned for [sic]."

Ah, so that's why she always makes the FHM Sexiest Women list! And there I was thinking she was renowned for other reasons. Silly me!
