Hayden Panettiere is perfect for Seventeen magazine

haydenp_seventeen.jpgOnce upon a time, Britney Spears was the embodiment of the American Girl. You could almost hear the band strike up with Star Spangled Banner every time she pranced onto your TV screen.

One shaved head and various 'unbalanced' episodes later, those days are now well and truly over. So thank the Lord for Hayden Panettiere, eh?

She certainly fits the bill for New US Teen Icon; 18, blonde, big smile, animal lover (Hayden fights to protect dolphins - so actually, that should probably be 'mammal lover'). Which is presumably why US magazine Seventeen chose Hayden to star on their cover this month.

You have to admit, she looks pretty darn good in those glam outfits and picture perfect make-up.

Please, everyone - let's just keep her away from 'ambitious' dancers, dubious managers and, above all, razors now, shall we?
