George Clooney takes Amy Winehouse Back to Cash

George Clooney and celeb pal Julia Roberts have offered Amy Winehouse $1 million to sing at an upcoming event in New York. The event is being pegged as the hottest social gathering of 2008 and will take place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Looks like Amy won't be struggling to pay for a taxi anymore with this pretty pay packet!Seen out shopping for groceries in turn-ups, a black bomber and her trademark beehive, she had to get those friendly paps to pay for her taxi home.

George was asked on behalf of event host Giorgio Armani to secure Amy for the bash. He's a busy fella at the moment, especially as he is now rumoured to be Godfather to Nicole Kidman's upcoming bundle of joy.

Apparently, Amy was shocked to have been asked to sing by Hollywood's heavyweights and feels her life 'is getting more surreal by the second'.
