Rihanna and her dominatrix alter-ego

Can someone please tell Rihanna that the fetish trend is, like, soooooo over?

We’ve been loving the raw, edgy ,elegant style she’s been showcasing out and about recently. So why Rihanna, why?

Performing in Dublin (so it wasn't even at G.A.Y.!), the songstress sported a racy black and red latex corset complete with suspenders, latex hot-pants and thigh high boots, accessorising with vampish red nails, gold hoop earrings and gauntlets.

Although there’s no denying she looks rather saucy in this get up (if I had pins like that I’d be showing them off at every opportunity too) is it not just a fashion faux-pas too far?

Her sweet smile, natural make-up and cute haircut completely contradict the outfit. It’s also ill-fitting and looks far too cheap for this fashionista.

Next time Ri, skip the cheap stuff and at least get your stylist to shell out for some Atsuko Kudo or House-of-Harlot couture!

I'd have to inspect the outfit very carefully and very slowly in person to really determine if it was a bad, LOL.

Fetish, 80s style, has diminished, but its very alive as a source of fashion and culture influence. For example, several American female news and chat presenters have been wearing quite high black leather boots recently.
