Reese Witherspoon doesn't do herself justice at the Penelope premiere

Well here's Reese looking most presentable in her bright shoes and (slightly clashing but all the better for that) top.

But doesn't she look just a bit... dull?

I really like old Withers (as I expect no one at all calls her). I think she's got integrity and dignity and, who knows, maybe several other words ending in -ity.

And I do love her purple shoes.

But the whole ensemble looks just a bit safe. There's no excitement, glamour or edge. Which leaves us with meh.

Apart from the shoes. Which, as we've established, are great.

Thank gawd for small mercies, eh?
