New York Fashion Week Insider: Final Thoughts

Well, that’s all folks! And in grand cliché style, the fat lady has sung. Well, actually for New York Fashion Week it was Kim Gordon, of grunge band Sonic Youth, doing the singing.

Last night fashion week ended with the most talked about show of the week: Marc Jacobs. Amidst all the rumours, even a little scandal, MJ pulled it off with an acutely on time show (a knee-jerk reaction to the complaints of his four hour late show of last season?) featuring a live band and a major concert set up rather than a runway. Hmm, I seem to remember hearing something about there being a live band at his show… oh, yeah. That was me! Okay, so I’m being a bit smug. But you have to admit that having OSOYOU’s blog as your port of call for all celeb and style gossip comes in pretty handy when you want the scoop before your mates.

Anyways, the show was kicked off by Marc himself running on stage to tell everyone to get ready. Then Kim Gordon came out and played a rocking show while models strutted their stuff. The clothes were gorgeous as usual. The celebrity attendance was as good as expected. And yes, Victoria Beckham made an appearance. She is his new muse after all! She looked her usual put-together self in a shimmering red dress. But the front row shocker?? K-Fed. Yep that’s right. Kevin Federline put on a suit and attended one of the hottest fashion shows around. I am soo on Team Federline.

And, it all comes to a close with that lovely readers. It’s been grand! And the gossip has been OSO good this time round. So what I will leave you with is of course in the name of style.

First, take a look up and tell me this isn’t the epitome of fashionable? The power red locks, the sexy ivory blouse, the killer heels and a quirky coloured coat. Could this girl be any more stylish? 4) Neckwear: Scarves and exaggerated collars ruled the runways.
5) Moody Glamour: Stunning gowns took to the dark side of a fairy tale with smoky colours and a haunting, dream-like feel.
