Katie Holmes dyes her hair for lunch

I understand people who dress to try and fit into certain social situations. But dyeing your hair is taking it to the extreme!

Katie Holmes made an appearance at the First Annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon yesterday, and the first thing I noticed was her new black hair. How, erm, apt.

Teaming her new 'do with her favourite accessory, hubby Tom, she looked stunning in this gorgeous Alexandra McQueen shift dress and purple sling back Louboutins. Proving purple, although huge last season, is here to stay for a while yet.
