Britney Spears beats Kylie in celebrity perfume sales

It's official: not all publicity is bad publicity.

Britney Spears’s public meltdown has affected her perfume sales (and therefore her bank balance) for the better.

The Toxic star beat the Beckhams, Kylie and even Jennifer Lopez in sales with her fragrances Curios, Fantasy, Curios In Control, Midnight Fantasy, Believe and Curios Heart – that’s six in total, in case you weren’t counting. One more than the amount of studio albums she's released. I wonder if this means we will have to start calling her a perfumier?

But Britters better not get too comfortable in the top spot. Kerry Katona’s gearing up for the release of her own fragrance and she’s already described herself as the British Britney.

Oh. Dear.
