Here's Anna Friel on her way to Natalie Imbruglia's birthday party (who knew they were mates?!), having just 'dined' (so said the picture caption) at The Ivy.

The beautiful people don't pop out for a bite to eat, do they? They 'dine'. Only other place you hear that word? The Owl and the Pussycat. They dined on mince and slices of quince. Followed by feuilletine of blah on a bed of yadda drizzled with rhubarb.

Anyway. Back to Anna. The look she's going for here is Lady of Shalott. Or perhaps Kate Bush circa 1977.

At any rate, all languid and beautiful and vaguely barmy.
