Cor, Lily Allen has gone all on-trend for her trip to Bond Street, with her floaty dress, sheer tights and amazing death-defying platforms.

She looks great. Not very comfy, but, as Frenchie says to Sandy in Grease, 'Beauty is pain.' Amen to that, sisters.

And you wouldn't go to Bond Street wearing your old bootcuts and a hoodie, would you? Everyone knows there are shopping fashion strata, starting with trip-to-newsagent (aforementioned bootcut combo), moving through provincial high street (second best jeans and nice coat), to major city high street (outfit laid out the night before), and ending up at Bond Street (whole new outfit).

How refreshing to see that Lily's just like the rest of us. Only with a larger budget. And actual fame.

Sigh.
