Victoria and David Beckham paint the town... yellow

Posh and Becks were out having a meal in St Alban's - that's the fancy restaurant, not the town - on Saturday night. And as usual, they caused quite a stir. Not only by their mere presence - which is cause for paparazzi mayhem any day of the week, of course - but by what they were wearing.

Because not only was Victoria not wearing black: she was wearing bright neon yellow. And on her feet, too! Imagine! We've even given you a close-up so you can see that embroidered, marigold-patterened strapless dress in full. And Victoria's protuding, erm, 'assets'. Should you so wish to see them close-up.

And as for David: well, he looked like he'd stepped out of the 1920s. Dapper trousers, waistcoat and yes, arm garters. Or whatever they're called.

So now you know what you and your fella should be wearing in 2008, ladies. He should look like a Depression-era newspaper journalist (think Cary Grant in His Girl Friday), while you should dress like a banana. Carmen Miranda, eat your heart out!
