Katie Holmes does purple to perfection

It might be all 'yellow this, yellow that' in the fashion world at the mo, but Katie Holmes knows what's best for her - and it turns out that's last season's colour.

Snapped coming out of luxury hotel Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica, she looked gorgeous in this floaty purple blouse that complemented her skin tone and hair perfectly. Katie completed her look with flattering wide leg trousers and burgundy high-heeled courts.

All of which I loved so much, it took me a while to notice the rather bored looking girl standing next to her. Could she be yet another accessory, planted to make Katie look that extra bit more interesting?
