Nicole Kidman shines at The Golden Compass premiere

And when I say shines, I mean really shines!

Nicole Kidman took this season's metallic trend a step too far at last night's premiere of her new movie The Golden Compass, held at the State Theatre in Sydney last night.

Nic sported this tin foil-esque silver trouser suit teamed with a matt T shirt and black patent heels. Now I think the cut of the suit, at least, is lovely - but I can't be sure because I'm blinded by the shiny shiny fabric!

This outfit is a great example of how not to wear the metallic trend: someone should have told Nicole to stick to just one item at a time (and maybe throw those silver trousers away!).

Why not make your one metallic item a pair of shoes from our metallic shoes list? After all, a girl can never have enough heels.......
