Lindsay Lohan looking neither good nor bad, again

Is there any star's style more frustrating than Lindsay Lohan's?

Sometimes, she looks truly awful. Occasionally, she looks great. But most of the time she looks "meh" (a sound which has to be accompanied by a shrugging of the shoulders).

A case in point: the outfit Lindsay stepped out in to go house-hunting in LA yesterday (well, staying at the Chateau Marmont so often is quite a strain on the old purse strings, isn't it?).

The silver dress is "meh". The silver shoes are "meh". The black trilby is pretty cute, but when worn by that dress, is somehow "meh". Still, what do I know? Do I have millions in the bank and am I going house-hunting for a luxury home in Los Angeles right now? No. So I'll shut up.
