Kate Middleton's winter wrap-up

While Sarah Harding was larking around in skimpy stockings and bowler hats last night - which is always the sign of a good Saturday night for me, too - Kate Middleton was keeping things rather more dignified in Mayfair.

Our Future Queen (Probably) was out on the town celebrating Peter Phillips's birthday. He's Princess Anne's son, in case you've forgotten. Or care. The Royal party (geddit?) made its way from swanky restaurant Cocoon to even swankier members' club Volstead. According to its website, Volstead is "an oasis of elegance in London's Mayfair" and "rekindles the atmosphere of our most socially hedonistic times." Blimey. Do you suppose Girls Aloud went down there for their after-party?

But enough of these trivial details - let's concentrate on what Kate was wearing, shall we? Because that's not trivial at all. She was dressed, as you can see, in a very nice double-breasted white winter coat, which she teamed with a black bag, black opaque tights and black suede boots not unlike those Kate Moss has been sporting recently. Although Posh Kate's were far less dirty than Model Kate's, of course.
