Claire Danes goes floorlength and strapless at the Glamour Awards

Typical - you wait for one actress to wear a floorlength strapless dress at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards, and then two come along at once.

And doesn't Claire Danes wear it well? And doesn't she have lovely posture? Albeit in a slightly alarming, shoulders-thrown-back, standing-to-attention kind of way. Was the Queen about to arrive and give them all an inspection? And if the Queen was there, how come she didn't get the 'Woman of the Year' award, and Jennifer Garner did? I mean, Jennifer's got nice dimples and is doing very well in her new Broadway play, I'm sure. But that's not really up there with 'being head of state for the United Kingdom and 15 Commonwealth countries', now, is it?

Ahem.

Anyway, back to Claire and her fabulous, Chinese-style frock. I adore it, and what's more, it reminds me of Kylie Minogue's recent outing in gold, if only Kylie's had been much nicer and less lamp-like.
