Naomi Campbell joins the fashion sheep

I thought I was suffering from déjà vu when I saw this pic Naomi Campbell in her black Azzedine Alaia dress. Then I realised she was just following a trend first spotted on some of the biggest sheep in fashion.

Yes, after being sported by Victoria Beckham and Mariah Carey, this somewhat see-through dress with lace panels was all set to become an "it" dress. And now it's been sported by Ms Campbell, it's official! This tight ruffled frock shows off every curve, and features Alaia's trade-mark deeply scooped neckline and back.

I really liked Alaia's body-con dresses in the 90s (they've been described as the sexiest, trendiest, and most utterly original clothes produced by any contemporary designer) but this new style is much more feminine and wearable (as these 3 women with very different body shapes have shown).

I'd love to own this verrry expensive dress! Hmm, I wonder how easy it is to sing, find a rich husband, or become a supermodel? And why do I have a feeling an eight-year old Victoria Beckham asked herself this very same question?
