Angelina Jolie and the £13 dress

Pics of Angelina Jolie looking stunning at her New York film premiere? Quelle surprise. The news that her dress came with a £13 price tag? Shocker!

OK, so I sound a bit like the Mastercard ad. But I was pretty surprised to learn that Miss Jolie’s dress is label-less and cost a mere £13 from LA vintage shop ‘Wasteland’.

Rich black velvet with chiffon and diamante detailing on one side and a plunging neckline, I particularly like the discreet DIY style knot detail on each shoulder.

Ange teamed the dress with Christian Louboutin peep toes with crystal heels (OK, not such a budget outfit then!) and a messy up ‘do.

Well it’s inspired me! I’m heading to my local Oxfam (and all the other charities stores, natch!) to see if I can snaffle some thrift shop bargains too. High fashion and no carbon footprint, how can you go wrong?!
