Oh Petra: You’re beautiful, it’s true!

(Or at least that’s what James Blunt will be wailing with regret when he sees this stunning picture. If he can tear himself away from Playboy models at Cannes, that is).

And true it is! At a benefit in New York in this Dolce and Gabbana dress, Blunt's ex, model Petra Nemcova, was the star of the event. The lace-embossed satin dress fits perfectly with this season’s monochrome trend - and reveals Petra's enviable figure - and it looks great teamed with her simple silver necklace.

My one small criticism (even smaller than her teeny clutch) is that the strappy shoes are too fussy to wear with a dress this pretty. But hey: even models can’t get everything right. And overall, Petra looks stunning. Far too stunning for Lilliputian crooner Blunt, in fact. “Goodbye my lover”, indeed.
